Six months old with her first cold & ear infection

Last Wednesday Ilona woke up her first fever, which developed into her first cold by the next evening. On Friday she was diagnosed as having a "typical daycare cold" by her pediatrician, but when she still had a fever on Sunday we took her to an affiliated clinic and it turns out that in typical Gerstein girl fashion, she has an ear infection. Pink medicine for 10 days!

This morning she woke up fever-free and in a much better mood, although now Mom has her cold. Hopefully this is not the first of many...

In other news, her weight on Sunday, the day after her 6 month birthday, was 14 lbs. She is a skinny minnie! Tonight she tries yogurt for the first time, maybe it will be the first food she actually likes!
